FIELD: food, chemical and other industries; packing facilities. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method of packing groups of articles in shrinkable film. According to proposed method, backing with cells for accommodating articles is made from one sheet of film, and then sheet is sealed by welding to other cover sheet. Description of sealing device is given. Backing is formed by tightly stretching film over separately arranged projecting shaping members of pan with subsequently forming a joint. When necessary, simultaneously with shaping of cells for articles, additional group of cylindrical projections is formed whose walls are cut off before placing the articles on backing, thus forming group of holes. Device has bed frame, film clamp, vacuum table, heater and pan consisting of two plates. Group of projecting shaping members is made on one of plates, partially or completely following outlines of articles to be packed and located on pan at a distance from each other. Holes are made in other plate whose shape coincides with shape of shaping members and arrangement coincides with arrangement of shaping members.
