FIELD: sampling microspheres, evaporating and checking targets for laser fusion or checking bearing balls. SUBSTANCE: spherical part is pressed to two supporting surfaces by applying force to it from external source. Supporting surfaces are set in motion. Source of forces applied to spherical part is arranged so that center of compressing force is inside and within plane of central angle α formed by radii drawn from center of spherical part to points where they come in contact with supporting surfaces. The latter have arbitrary curvature and are placed so that angle α is within 0° < α < 180°. Curvature radius of supporting surface section perpendicular to plane of angle α at contacting point on spherical part is greater than radius of spherical part when they are both unidirectional; in case of their different directions, mentioned values are interrelated through equation given in description of invention. Optional movements of supporting surfaces are analyzed. EFFECT: enlarged functional capabilities. 4 cl, 1 dwg
