FIELD: packing facilities. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to device for automatically packing sheet materials, particularly, bank notes. Proposed device loading unit on which pile of sheet material to be packed is placed with edges of sheets being accurately aligned. Device is provided with pusher for shifting sheet material pipe square to film fed into device by film feeder. Film is stretched partially over pile which is then delivered on transportation device. According to invention, transportation device has two conveyor belts adjustable in height and arranged parallel to each other one over the other. Pile clamped between conveyor belts and partially wrapped in film is shifted, together with film, to wrapping device and is positioned by conveyor belts to make film wrap the pile to form wrapper of sheet material pile. Pile, so packed, can be conveyed by transfer section to following belt conveyor. EFFECT: provision of compact device of high flexibility providing packing of sheet materials of different format. 13 cl, 11 dwg
