SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes treatment of metal-containing material in sulfuric acid which includes sulfuric acid, reductant and carbon source; heating mixture at temperature of 75 to 95 C and separation of solution from solid fraction containing uranium. Sulfuric acid solution may additionally contain hydrofluoric acid (HF) used as fluorine ions.
