FIELD: manufacture of fittings; manufacture of ball cocks for gas, chemical and other industries. SUBSTANCE: proposed cock has body with inlet and outlet passages and ball lock with throughway opening, mounting and sealing members and ball lock control rod. Ball cock is provided with coats on its working surfaces. Coat is made in form of layer structure. Outer protective layer is just layer of aluminum oxide and underlayer is layer of aluminum or layer of anodized aluminum alloy. EFFECT: increased service life; improved quality of fittings due to enhanced wear- and corrosion-resistance of working surfaces and article as a whole. 4 cl, 1 dwg
