FIELD: firearms. SUBSTANCE: muzzle unit has chamber formed by two parts: coupling screwed on barrel from front and sleeve screwed on coupling from front. Central hole of coupling houses flaps limited by collars against longitudinal movement. Spring holding flaps open before shot is installed between front butts of flaps and bottom of sleeve. Radial holes whose summary section area is markedly less than section area of bore are made in walls of coupling. Bore of sleeve directing escaping powder gases between sleeve and coupling in direction opposite to motion of bullet creating maximum possible effect braking barrel is located above holes. Slow efflux of powder gases allows level of sound pressure and flaming to be considerably reduced. EFFECT: reduced recoil pulse of barrel and weapon as whole, increased accuracy and density of hits, diminished visibility of muzzle flash and level of sound pressure. 2 dwg
