FIELD: medicine, phthisiology. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of tuberculosis diagnosis using microbiological research methods and designated for using in medicine and veterinary sciences. Method of tuberculosis diagnosis involves preliminary irradiation of microorganisms before their sowing into nutrient medium by light radiation at wave-length 0.6-1.0 mcm with power 25-250 mW for 0.5-2.0 min. The use of method to be proposed ensures to enhance the colony-forming ability of mycobacteria by 5-7-fold and decrease analysis time by 2-3-fold. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of diagnosis. 2 tbl
