FIELD: mechanical engineering; testing technology; testing gear wheels and their components for strength. SUBSTANCE: device has body where gear wheel under test and its shaft is placed, load-transfer unit, adapter engageable with load-transfer unit which is made in form of lever and is mounted on axle with loading member made in form of changeable bracket and locked flange-lever. Device has base, cylindrical gear train located in body; this gear train includes gear wheel under test which is engageable with gear mounted on parallel shafts fitted in bearings. Device is also provided with spur gear wheel fitted on shaft of gear wheel under test located in bearing supports. Device is provided with support for mounting the adapter with loading component engageable with tooth of spur gear wheel, as well as with rod connected with body; flange mounted on shaft of engageable gear is connected with locked flange-lever. EFFECT: possibility of determining loading ability of helical and herringbone gears with curvilinear and circular teeth at single-pair and multi-pair engagement of spur gear wheels as a whole and their components under conditions of simulation of real loads. 1 dwg
