FIELD: railway transport, equipment establishing friction forces and coefficient of friction between wheel and rail. SUBSTANCE: device can also sum up contact pressure of wheel of railway transport on rail. Proposed device measuring friction forces between wheel and rail offers possibility of measurement of friction force under wheel in any point of rail head both on roll surface and on side edge independent of form of rail head wear-out with simulation of contact pressure from wheel of vehicle on rail. Device measuring friction forces between wheel and rail has rail truck made of frame, two bearing wheels meant for travel over rail on which measurements are taken, guiding rollers stabilizing truck in horizontal and vertical planes and resting against opposite rail. Measurement system with strain-measuring element and converter of electric signals connected by means of wires to strain-measuring element is mounted on rail truck. Measurement system is provided with adjustable loader simulating pressure of wheel of vehicle on rail. Loader comes in the form of hollow shell on one end of which indentor manufactured in the form of ball is coupled movably and on the other end threaded cup is set. Calibrated spring for pressing indentor against rail is installed inside shell. Rod passing inside shell through threaded cup and mechanism advancing adjustable loader to rail is coupled to indentor. Adjustable loader is hinged to frame through axle of mounting flange to change position relative to axle and frame setting in exact point of required zone of rail head and is linked with the help of tie-rod to strain-measuring element. Mechanism advancing adjustable loader to rail comes in the form of lever with cable that is connected to rod of adjustable loader. EFFECT: improved functional reliability of device. 1 cl, 5 dwg
