Support attached to handle is laterally extending toward side corresponding to position of thumb of hand holding handle of bat and beyond surface of handle mid portion remote from blade-shaped part. Support may be made flat, with rounded edges and corners, and may have width greater at side facing blade-shaped part. Upper connecting portion above support may be arranged in accordance with position of thumb.
