FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to restorative medicine, can be used for restorative treatment of patients with paralysis or paresis of upper extremity of various etiology. Patient is placed in front of a mirror so that a healthy limb is completely reflected in it, and the paralyzed limb is hidden, patient performs various movements with the healthy hand, observing the movements of the healthy hand and its reflection in the mirror, thus obtaining the illusion of movement with both hands. In addition, exercises are carried out, including work with soft tissues of a paralyzed upper extremity: myofascial stretching (MFS) and post-isometric relaxation (PIR) techniques with the help of an instructor, massage techniques between exercises make it possible to improve blood supply, trophism of soft tissues, to form afferent influx from tissues of paralyzed extremity. Performing the actions described in the claim is aimed at activating several central cerebral mechanisms. Visual information, including the most significant visual feedback for the brain, connects the sent efferent stimulus with positive visual reinforcement: the limb moves without pain, in full. This information stimulates intact, but not working after cerebral accident, neural networks in motor areas of the involved hemisphere, which are responsible for movement of the paralyzed hand. Visual illusion includes motor imagination, which is widely used in medicine and in sports for mastering / improving motor acts. Mirror neurons are activated, which are involved when performing an action and when observing how this action is performed. In the injured hemisphere, part of mirror neurons is preserved, but this technique has a mobilizing effect on them. Method makes it possible to reduce asymmetry of tone of both upper extremities, to facilitate movements in joints of shoulder girdle and in proximal joints of hand, improve blood supply, soft tissue trophism, form an afferent influx from tissues of a paralyzed extremity. This leads to reduction of spastic and pain syndromes, formation of active voluntary movements of the paralyzed upper extremity.
EFFECT: method provides higher efficiency of rehabilitation treatment of patients with paralysis of upper extremity.
