FIELD: rolling equipment. SUBSTANCE: coupling has casing with three cylindrical bores embracing three angles of three-sided end of roll and splines arranged between casing and roll, and closure fixed on end of casing. Splines are arranged in pairs at both sides of bore axes. Flexible members are inserted into each bore between splines embracing each angle of roll. Flexible members are made in the form of annular sectors of flexible material such as rubber. Closure has three flat projections facing inward of casing. When coupling is removed from roll, spline projections facing casing bottom rest upon three flat projections of closure. Coupling is further provided with disk resting upon casing bottom and equipped with three faces, upon which spline projections facing casing bottom rest upon removal of coupling from roll. Distance from closure projections to casing axis and distance from disk faces to casing axis are selected to provide for required mounting gap facilitating assembling of coupling with roll. Coupling of such construction may be used in other branches of industry, where transmission of substantial torque moments is required and shafts are frequently connected and disconnected, and also in cases when substantial dynamic loads are created in gaps between members to be connected. EFFECT: provision for self-centering and self-tightening of members to be connected, reduced dynamic loads in drive members and provision for rapid joining of shafts. 3 cl, 4 dwg
