SUBSTANCE: apparatus for cutting solid materials, in particular, stone, has saw body with opening and stopper for placing and withdrawal of rolling bodies, drive ring provided with cutting members and movably fixed on saw body through movable rolling bodies, and tightening drive mechanism composed of single pair of conical drive rollers. Pair of drive rollers is positioned on apparatus casing so that rollers press drive ring and shift it relative to saw casing to provide for kinematic coupling with drive.
