FIELD: nonferrous metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: sodium fluoride-sodium bicarbonate solution and aluminate solution, formed at aluminum production plants, are continuously mixed and crystallized to give cryolite, which is then dehydrated and dried. Aluminate solution to be mixed is taken in dependence on concentration of sodium bicarbonate and sodium fluoride in their solution, their ratio, consumption of this solution, and concentration of alumina in aluminate solution.
