METHOD OF SUPPORTING MINE WORKINGS JUNCTION Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: mining, more specifically, technology of support of mine workings in placers of their junction. SUBSTANCE: method includes selection of support operating parameters corresponding to expected loads with consideration of equivalent exposure span of roof rocks on junction between base (the first) working and branching or intersecting working, introduction of reinforcing roof bolting, supporting frames with roofing and reinforcing of support in zones adjacent to junction. Lengths of equivalent span and sections of workings adjacent to junction are determined by mathematical expressions with due consideration of width of stressed workings, angle of branching or crossing, value of breakage of coal pillar and coal side pressing-out. EFFECT: higher efficiency and safety of workings junction support with increased mining depth and working cross-section. 5 dwg
