FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves determining quantity of T-active lymphocytes incubated with recombinant interleykine-1 and the quantity of T-active lymphocytes by applying method of rosette formation with sheep erythrocytes. Relation index is calculated for ratio of T-active lymphocytes quantity incubated with recombinant interleykine-1 to T-active lymphocytes quantity. The value being greater than 1.5, favorable postoperative period course is to be predicted. Pyo-inflammatory complications are predicted when the value is less than 1.5. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of prognosis; simplified method. 1 tbl
