FIELD: medicine; traumatology and orthopedics.
SUBSTANCE: neutrophil myeloperoxidase activity in patient blood is determined. If the average cytochemic myeloperoxidase index is ≥ 2.9 units, inflammatory complication in post-surgical period is predicted. If the average cytochemic myeloperoxidase index is <2.9 units, post-surgical period complications are eliminated.
EFFECT: method application to traumatology and orthopedics allows to increase accuracy in post-surgical complications prediction.
