FIELD: television engineering; transmission of any additional video and audio signals. SUBSTANCE: clock signals for additionally transmitted video and audio signals are generated both on sending and receiving ends from full useful chromatic video signal by counting, processing, and taking decision; on sending end both signals are separately converted into digital form before their superposition on useful video signal, entered in memory, saved in buffer, and compacted. On receiving end operations are executed in reverse sequence with similar synchronization. Method may be implemented on sending end by additional reception and on receiving end, by means of computer programs or additional devices incorporated in standard television set. EFFECT: enhanced utilization of television- channel vacant space for additional signals. 4 cl, 6 dwg
