FIELD: ball mill drum lining. SUBSTANCE: wedge-type armor has segmented insert with end equipped with locking device, which is defined by angular platforms adapted for engagement with similar platforms of other armor segment. Working surface of armor has wavy portions arranged at angular pitch of 10 deg, with radius of convex surface being equal to 105 plus and minus 2 mm and radius of slot portion being equal to 100 plus and minus 2 mm. Radial surface junction zone is extending along tangent arranged at an angle of 35 deg to radial axis. Width of wedge-type armor is 400-500 plus and minus 4 mm. Size of chord at angular portion of armor with curvature of 30 deg is 771 plus and minus 4 mm. Pockets are fixed to inoperative side of armor. EFFECT: increased grinding efficiency and enhanced reliability in operation.
