FIELD: machine engineering, mainly restoration of damaged walls of bodies of transport vehicles, thin-sheet ferrous and non-ferrous metals and certain types of thin-sheet polymeric articles. SUBSTANCE: apparatus including straightening member with through openings, sealing unit, vacuumizing pump also includes unit for detecting end of straightening process in the form of signalling lamp with wire leads. Vacuumizing pump is in the form of cylinder inside which piston is arranged. Piston has valves for discharging air, sealing cups arranged on outer surface of piston and guiding sleeve mounted in opening provided in end of cylinder, tie rod arranged in guiding sleeve with possibility of motion, spring-loaded to piston and joined with it by its one end; eccentric members fixed onto stationary bracket at outer side of its end with possibility of engaging with cylinder for moving it; frame provided with foot and supporting manual press having handle and rod mounted with possibility of engaging with foot of frame in order to move piston with tie rod. Straightening member is secured to cylinder end opposite relative to its end with guiding sleeve. Said member is in the form of changeable supporting plate having turning and through openings inside which sponge elastic material is movably placed. Opening for discharging air is provided in cylinder. Sealing member is fixed in turning of changeable supporting plate. Wire leads of signalling lamp are connected with supporting plate and with damaged thin-sheet article. EFFECT: enhanced quality of straightening, lowered energy consumption. 4 dwg
