FIELD: transport engineering; measurement facilities.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to device for revealing deviation of track gauge from nominal value. Proposed device contains track measured length pulse shaper and track gauge meter connected with shaper. Pulse shaper is made in form of frame resting on support rollers and formed by two equal-length bell connected by hinge joint in form of pin made for free rotation. Upper parts of bell cranks located before hinge joint are arranged in parallel relative to each other at definite distance. Spring is installed between lower parts of bell cranks arranged at definite angle relative to each other. Ends of lower parts of bell cranks are provided with cages accommodating axle with rollers whose circumference end faces are made acute. Ends of upper parts of bell cranks are provided with brackets installed square to upper parts of bell cranks. Track gauge meter made in form of dial indicator is secured on one end of bracket of one of bell cranks. Tip of said indicator is connected with end face of second bracket for contact. Device is secured on wall of vehicle on journal connected with hinge joint of equal size bell cranks.

EFFECT: simplified design, improved accuracy of checking track gauge width.
