DEVICE FOR MEASURING DETERIORATION OF ENGINE'S CAMSHAFT Russian patent published in 2005 - IPC

FIELD: propulsion engineering; measurement technology.

SUBSTANCE: device can be use for fuel safe in engines of supply ships and railway transport. Device is proposed for measuring deterioration of camshaft of engine that provides to determine deterioration of cams during shaft's rotation which deterioration influences moment of ignition, and to exclude excessive consumption of gas mixture during feeding it. Device for measuring deterioration of camshaft has registrar and amplifier made in form of sensitive element which has to be extender for registrar. Device is additionally provided with brace having deflected ends with protrusions and screws for fixing. Brace is fastened onto engine. Longitudinal groove is made onto longitudinal part of the brace. Slider is disposed inside the groove. The slider is provided with catch on top edge part. There is hole in the slider in which hole the bushing is fixed. The bushing has pin of registrar disposed. Pin of registrar is connected with elongation, which has sharp end for making contact with surface of rocker of engine's pusher. Registrar is made in form of watch-typed indicator. Marks-labels are applied onto longitudinal part of brace for mounting slider, which has only one mark-label.
