FIELD: equipment for protecting underground constructions and pipelines from electrochemical corrosion. SUBSTANCE: method involves assembling individual ready-made electrically and mechanically connected anode earthing devices into chain, each of earthing devices comprising central electrode axially surrounded with activator layer made in the form of cylinder. Chain assembly is obtained by tightening joined ends of central electrodes of adjacent anode earthing devices by means of metal coupler, with ends of central electrodes being provided with conical external thread and ends of metal coupler being provided with internal thread. Rubber or fluoroplastic sealing rings are positioned between coupler and electrode at both ends of coupler, or ends of coupler are welded or soldered to electrode for sealing threaded joints of adjacent anode earthing devices. Outer diameter of coupler is selected so as to provide for equal strength of coupler section and electrode section, with electrochemical abrasion value being taken into account. Space in the vicinity of adjacent anode earthing devices between activator cylinder ends, which are made in the form of outer cones having acute taper, is filled with activator or cognate material up to common outer surface of cylinders.
