FIELD: protection of underground structures and pipelines from electrochemical corrosion. SUBSTANCE: method includes use of activator composition based on binding pitch heated up to melting point in amount of 28-35 wt. % and granulated conducting coke in amount of 65-72 wt.% containing 28.0-29.6 wt.% of particles sizing 1.0-8.0 mm; 13.6- 16.0 wt.% of particles sizing 0.16-1.0 mm; and 27.8-28.8 wt.% of particles sizing up to 0.16 mm; with its filling into mold for manufacture of anode grounding electrodes with subsequent compaction by direct mechanical action to obtain density within 1.60-1.45 g/cu.cm inversely proportional to binding pitch-granulated coke fractions of total mass ratio within 0.39-0.54. EFFECT: provided manufacture of anode grounding electrodes with stable high, similar in value quantitative characteristics: porosity of activator 9.6-10%; mechanical strength 200-225 kg/sq.cm; specific resistance 390-400 ohm.sq.mm; electrochemical equivalent 2.40-2.60 kg/A.year. 3 cl, 1 dwg, 1 ex
