FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in internal combustion engines for mounting oil filter. Internal combustion engine has cylinder block-and-crankcase unit, cylinder head with manifolds, auxiliaries drive housing secured on end face of crankcase and projecting in width beyond the outlines of crankcase, and oil filter with detachable cap installed on side wall of crankcase. Oil filter is installed with detachable cap pointed upwards with tilting relative to horizontal axis of engine towards auxiliaries drive housing so that detachable cap is located under cylinder head manifold over auxiliaries drive housing projecting in width beyond the crankcase. EFFECT: provision of easy servicing of oil filter without increasing overall dimensions of engine. 2 dwg
