FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to liquid-cooled internal combustion engines. System has cylinder block with two-support liners, cooling jacket, supply manifold, bypass channels connecting cylinder cooling jacket in its upper part with cylinder head cooling jacket. Space is made in lower part of cooling jacket which widens in radial direction and gradually tapers to the top. Spaces of two adjacent cylinders are interconnected by two longitudinal channels made in intercylinder partitions. Channels are connected with head cooling jacket by four vertical channels. EFFECT: reduced heat stresses in cylinder head and provision of uniform heat stress in cylinders. 2 cl, 2 dwg
