FIELD: mechanical engineering; overrunning clutches; pulse variable-speed drives for transmission of torque in one direction. SUBSTANCE: wedge- type overrunning clutch includes holder with inner toothed surfaces, eccentric, intermediate ring mounted on this eccentric and provided with outer toothed surfaces for additional motion in way of motion of eccentric which is kinematically linked with holder; clutch includes also spring- loaded wedge located in wedge chamber between intermediate ring and holder and provided with components made in form of discrete elements located in separator; discrete elements rest against toothed surfaces of holder and intermediate ring. Novelty of invention consists in availability of additional spring-loaded wedge mounted in separator with compensating members located on its surfaces; these compensating members are engageable with discrete elements in way of radii of holder and intermediate ring. Separator limits motion of discrete elements in radial direction at free running. EFFECT: increased loading capacity; enhanced durability of clutch. 3 dwg
