FIELD: building-up high and ultrahigh pressures without standard compressors and overheating and chemical contamination of gases being compressed. SUBSTANCE: gas to be compressed is fed to pressure chamber in liquid state with the aid of return containers. Then liquefied gas is subjected to gasifying by means of recuperative heat exchange and low-potential thermal energy. Then, auxiliary liquid is charged into pressure chamber for filling return sluicing containers before removal of them through sluices. EFFECT: possibility of compressing gas mixtures at high chemical activity, explosive gases inclusive. 3 cl, 2 dwg
