FIELD: radio engineering, follow-up angular coordinate meter. SUBSTANCE: technical result of method lies in expansion of dynamic range of signal direction finding and in reduction of form of discrimination characteristic to configuration ensuring fastest minimization of error of follow-up system. Method includes following operations: formation of four directional patterns displaced in symmetry relative to equisignal direction, formation of directional pattern in direction "cold sky", change-over of each directional pattern displaced relative to equisignal direction with directional pattern in direction "cold sky", reception of signal, its frequency selection, its amplitude detection, its demodulation by change- over frequency, recording of demodulated signals, computation of summary signals in direction finding planes and establishment of gain factor of path by their maximum value. With next changes-over in each direction finding plane difference Δ, sum Σ and product П of signals are computed, discrimination characteristics are formed by way of rationing difference of signals to their sum and product, signals are leveled by slope and form, error is found by formula . There will be no signal if П < Utr1, Σ < Utr2, where Utr1,Utr2 are certain threshold values. EFFECT: expanded dynamic range of signal direction finding. 3 dwg
