CABLE ENTRY Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: electrical equipment for vehicles and their wiring accessories. SUBSTANCE: cable entry is provided with diametrical-dimension compensator for cables being entered which is made of flexible material in the form of conical bushing with boss on large diameter aligned with end surface of case. Compensator is fitted onto cable with negative allowance equal for all cables being entered irrespective of their diametrical dimensions due to adequate adjustment of compensator length on its smaller-diameter end. Part of compensator on smaller diameter end is disposed between locking member and cable whose diameter is insufficient for its stiff clamping by means of locking member. Proposed design of cable entry ensures reliable protection against axial and radial displacement of cable and its stuffing at points of its entry in hermetically sealed cases of devices. EFFECT: simplified design and facilitated assembly of cable entry enabling reduction of associated device size. 3 cl, 4 dwg
