ELECTRICAL BINDING POST Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: connecting vehicle electrical equipment to external conductors and brunching conductors inside devices. SUBSTANCE: binding post has fixed contact member in the form of bolt with longitudinal slot on threaded part and movable contact member with hold-down device and nut. There is also end-position locking unit for movable contact member incorporating assembly of supporting and locking parts. Hold-down device has transverse projections disposed on one of its ends where fixed contact member is engageable with slot. Other end of hold-down device is connected to nut for rotating the latter and for its longitudinal movement relative to hold- down device within elastic strain limits of locking member. Mentioned locking unit is placed between nut end and transverse projections of hold- down device; supporting member is arranged on side of transverse projections. EFFECT: enhanced reliability of binding post at heavy vibration loads and impacts. 2 dwg
