FIELD: medicine, cardiology. SUBSTANCE: in tested patients one should measure systolic pressure (SP), diastolic pressure (DP), heart rate (HR) both in norm and at gradually ascending submaximal physical loading. SP and DP values are compared at different loadings. Double product (DP) is calculated. Pressure loading index (PLI) is calculated as the ratio of SP gain to DP gain at 50 W loading. Hypertonic disease is diagnosed by the difference of SP and DP values at different loadings and at rest and according to a PLI value. The method enables to improve earlier diagnostics of hypertonic disease (HD), create new criteria for HD diagnostics, favors to evaluate the role of loading- inadequate AP increase in enhancing the internal cardiac work and understand the mechanisms in developing leftventricular hypertrophy in HD-patients. EFFECT: higher efficiency of diagnostics. 3 ex, 4 tbl
