FIELD: manual and automatic welding of heat resistant pearlite steels for making articles, possibly in power and petrochemical machine engineering. SUBSTANCE: welding wire composition includes (mass %): carbon - (0.07-0.12); silicon - (0.15 - 0.40); manganese - (0.30-1.20); chrome - (1.5-2.5); nickel - (0.01-0.2); molybdenum - (0.40-1.20); vanadium - (0.05-0.25); titanium - (0.01-0.15); copper -(0.01-0.06); aluminum -(0.005-0.05); nitrogen - (0.003 -0.012); oxygen - (0.001-0.005); stannum - (0.0001- 0.01); antimony - (0.001-0.008); arsenicum - (0.001-0.01); cobalt -(0.005-0.02); plumbum -(0.001-0.01); sulphur -(0.001-0.006); phosphorus - (0.001-0.006), ferrum - the balance. Relation of summed content of vanadium and chrome to summed content of carbon and nitrogen and also total content of copper, phosphorus, cobalt and nickel are normalized. EFFECT: enhanced resistance of welded joint metal against thermal and radiation embrittlement. 1 ex, 4 tbl
