FIELD: frequency-selective circuits; switching signals in broadband microwave devices. SUBSTANCE: switch is built around two quarter-wavelength transforming stubs spaced quarter-wavelength apart, with their ends connected to semiconductor diodes. Direct bias is applied when semiconductor diodes pass current. In the process switch functions as bandpass filter with quarter-wavelength couplings. When diodes are cut-off, switch functions as rejection filter. Proposed switch operates in comprehensive frequency band amounting to 40%. EFFECT: enhanced operating frequency band of switch. 2 dwg
