METHOD FOR TREATING TESTICULAR CANCER Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: medicine, oncology. SUBSTANCE: method deals with treating testicular cancer at different stages of tumor process. During operation of high funiculorchectomy it is suggested to cross a spermatic funiculus by leaving 1.5 cm against internal inguinal ring, and remove together with a spermatic funiculus. Then, subclavicular catheter N 1.4 for 1 cm depth into presutured and tightened proximal stump of spermatic funiculus 0.5 cm above resection line retrogradely, it is fixed with a catgut ligature to aponeurosis of external oblique muscle of abdomen. The wound should be sutured, catheter is fixed additionally with a cutaneous suture, and on the 7th d after operation 100 mg cisplatin is injected through a catheter per 100 mg Ringer's solution, by drops for 6-8 h at the background of intravenous aqueous loading, then catheter is removed. The method enables to decrease metastases in retroperitoneal lymph nodes, decrease toxicity of chemopreparation and shorten the terms of remission onset. EFFECT: higher efficiency of therapy. 1 ex
