METHOD FOR TREATING PENIS CANCER Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: medicine, oncology. SUBSTANCE: method deals with treating penis cancer at different stages of tumor process. During operation it is suggested to conduct penis amputation, suture cavernous bodies, then penis skin is shifted towards its root and 1 ml indigo carmine is injected 1 cm proximally against the amputation line along dorsal penis surface, under a surface fascia. Then, 2 min later a surface fascia is lanced to isolate a contrasted lymph vessel and puncture it with a thin needle and an antitumor preparation bleomycin is injected at 50 mg/10 ml Ringer's solution slowly, for 2 min and operation is considered to be over. The method enables to decrease metastases into inguinal lymph nodes till complete regression, and in case of local process - improve sanitary conditions of lymph outflow.
