FIELD: inorganic synthesis catalysts. SUBSTANCE: catalytic member is made in the form of bed consisting of distinct prisms provided with honeycomb channels, each prism having equivalent diameter and height equal, respectively, to 4-100 and 2-75 equivalent diameters of honeycomb channel. Prisms are arranged in spaced relation to each other with gapes equal to 0.20-0.55 equivalent diameters of honeycomb channel. Such catalytic members can be used in production of nitric and hydrocyanic acids as well as hydroxylamine sulfate as second-step catalyst disposed after first-step catalyst (in gas downstream direction) made in the form of platinoid grids' pile. EFFECT: increased lifetime and efficiency. 4 cl, 8 dwg, 5 ex
