METHOD FOR MAKING PARTS OF WIRE-BASE NON-WOVEN MATERIAL AND MACHINE FOR MAKING SUCH PARTS Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: machine engineering, namely manufacture of elastically damping parts of metallic wire based non-woven material. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of winding wire to helix; tensioning wire helix; cutting off wire in the form of helix by pieces; laying pieces to press-mold for their subsequent pressing; before placing pieces of wire helices in press-mold additionally forming on plane one or several layers of such pieces and joining them by lap joints. Operations of winding wire to helix, tensioning wire helix, cutting wire helix by pieces, bending pieces and mutually joining them are combined in time. Machine for performing the method includes mounted in housing: mandrel; pitch setting unit, stationary and movable cutters, two-coordinate table with table top; duct for transporting wire helix pieces having inlet arranged higher than its outlet placed over surface of table top; control unit electrically connected with two drive units of two-coordinate table, with drive unit of movable cutter, with device setting time period for winding helix piece and with pickups detecting table top position.
