FIELD: air conditioning systems, namely processes for treating air and apparatuses for conditioning it. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of cyclically sprinkling heat exchanging surfaces through which flow of conditioned air passes; supplying water by separate dozes; changing quantity of supplied water at changing quantity of air passing through heat exchanging surfaces. Apparatus for air conditioning includes sprinkled heat exchanger, fan, vessel for water and rotor freely mounted on axles with possibility of rotation by action of air flow created by fan. Grippers in the form of reservoirs or elastic rods are secured to rotor; said grippers rotate together with rotor and they feed water for sprinkling heat exchanger. EFFECT: lowered quantity of water fed for sprinkling heat exchanging surfaces, reduced air humidity, decreased investment and operational cost. 6 cl, 3 dwg
