FIELD: electrical engineering, diagnostics and test of state of insulation between sheets of electrical sheet steel in cores of stators of AC electric machines. SUBSTANCE: technical result of proposal lies in simplified approach to detection of insulation faults between sheets in core by way of formation in it of alternating magnetic flux with low values of induction. Proposed facility has magnetization winding, variable induction pickup in the form of coil wound on ferromagnetic core and scanning internal surface of core, adjustable power supply unit, measurement unit incorporating phase difference meter and test turn wound around core. Its ends and output of pickup are connected to inputs of phase difference meter. According to first variant output of power supply unit is connected to terminals of magnetization winding and in correspondence with second variant to opposite sides of body of core. In this case one supply wire passes inside core. EFFECT: simplified approach to detection of insulation faults. 2 cl, 6 dwg
