SUBSTANCE: invention relates to spacecraft for controlling its position in space. Electromagnetic space engine directly converting electric energy from DC source onboard spacecraft into kinetic energy, proposed device comprises induction devices arranged equally on two platforms secured at SC body seats diagonally opposite to SC centre of mass by means of rods. Induction devices comprise a solenoid with a non-ferromagnetic tube, inside which there is a soft magnetic core and non-ferromagnetic material or vacuum, monolithic, disc-shaped flat magnetically soft magnetic screen, the central part of which has the shape of a hyperbolic cone and faces inside the tube, a rigid connection of the coaxial solenoid and the magnetic screen. Size of the screen covers the possibility of direct interaction of magnetic fields of the Earth and the ID on the side of the solenoid core end, which is closest to the screen.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of electromagnetic engine.
