FIELD: nuclear power engineering; storage and shipment of loose and solidified liquid wastes. SUBSTANCE: concrete container has case and cover set on depression in top part of case; the latter is octahedral prism with alternating narrow and wide edges. Narrow edges bear depressions to receive gripping mechanisms and external part of bottom has projection in its center whose outer dimensions are smaller than size of depression in upper part of case for joining cases of containers when stacking them. Container cover is provided with taper hole, its lower-diameter end being on top; case-to-cover clearance is sealed with concrete. Distance between upper edge of case and cover is smaller than bottom projection height. In case of horizontal stacking containers are placed right against each other by joining adjacent containers over wide edges at the same time organizing process channels by narrow edges of containers, These channels are used to receive gripping mechanisms. In case of vertical stacking containers may be piled with bottom projection of upper container being inserted in depression formed between upper edge of case and lower-container cover. Appropriate height of bottom projection enables using fork trucks for stacking the containers. Used as form for concrete cover manufacture is container case whose depression meant to receive cover serves as supporting surface. Such design makes it possible to obtain removable cover and to precisely align supporting surfaces of cover with those of case. Case-to-cover locks facilitate cover installation on case in working position. EFFECT: enhances operating reliability and safety, reduced space requirement, facilitated handling of containers in stacking them for storage. 7 cl 9 dwg
