FIELD: electrical engineering; manufacture of positive silver plates for alkali accumulators. SUBSTANCE: positive silver plate for alkali accumulator has current collector and active material based on silver powder of porous frame structure composed of separate structurally bonded fragments, each fragment having set of parallel cylindrical pores separated by spherical silver crystals. Cylindrical pores in structure fragments are of diameter ranging between 0.5 and 1.5 mcm and of length between 5 and 50 mcm. Cylindrical pores in structurally bonded fragments of particles are separated by porous wall, 0.5 to 1,0 mcm thick, formed of spherical silver crystals, 0.05 to 0.5 mcm in diameter. Pore diameter in wall is 0.03 to 0.3 mcm. Silver powder may contain in its composition magnesium oxide and hydroxide mixture with particle size of 0.005 to 0.01 mcm in amount of 0.01 to 0.05 mass percent. Cylindrical pores are disposed in different structurally bonded fragments of particles at certain angle to each other. Silver powder used in active material of positive plate has specific surface area of 0.5 to 10.0 sq. m/g, bulk mass of 0.5 to 2.0 g/cu. cm, and fluidity of 2.5 to 5.0 g/s. Accumulator has case accommodating electrolyte-impregnated positive and negative plates with separator in-between and uses positive plate of proposed design.
