FIELD: agricultural engineering. SUBSTANCE: potato digger has first undercutting share, rotor composed of rod combs, screen for restricting throwing around of potatoes, and carrier wheel. Second share is positioned adjacent to first share. Both shares are made flat. Rotor is positioned for directing potato tuber containing mass delivered from both shares to side opposite to digger advancement direction. Rotor has housing. Screen and housing are connected through channel having U-shaped section with width reducing in the direction of advancement of tuber containing mass flow. Channel lower part is closed with guiding rakes so as to define clearance in horizontal plane for placing tuber windrow onto field surface. Screen is pivotally connected to channel upper edge at exit side and closes. Carrier wheel is arranged between shares. EFFECT: intensified tuber separation process and enhanced reliability in operation. 5 cl, 2 dwg
