FIELD: fodder production, particularly, conservation of plants green fodder. SUBSTANCE: method involves using of natural bischofite as a conserving agent, which is introduced in terms of 4.5-5.0 l per one ton of high-protein cultures, and as high-protein green fodder lucerne is used. Feeding of prepared silage to calves positively influences to accretion of live weight of calves of experimental groups. EFFECT: increased efficiency of conservation, improved quality of fodder due to more safety of protein and carotene and better ratio of organic acids and lactic acid. 5 tbl
