FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves producing superficial corneal flap and bending it. Corneal stroma is exposed to excimer laser radiation in two diametrically opposite equal ablation circles symmetrically arranged relative to the central cornea axis along week axis of astigmatism. Ablation diameter is from 2.0 to 4.0 mm large. Ablation circle to cornea diameter ratio is in 0.18 to 0.39 range. Central optical zone diameter to total cornea diameter ratio is in 0.20 to 0.40 range. Ablation circle diameter to central optical zone diameter ratio is 0.29 to 1.83 large. The produced flap is closed. Ablation parameters are calculated from formula E=K*A, where E is the efficiency parameter, A is the astigmatism value, K is the adjustment coefficient equal to 1.1-1.4. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of treatment. 1 dwg
