FIELD: medical engineering. SUBSTANCE: method involves applying radiation using optical radiator matrix. The device has laser or photodiode light sources spaced over substrate surface. Substrate shape is similar to that of pathological zone. The device additionally has fixing members and holder for fixing the substrate relative to biological object. Additional units are included into design for controlling temperature, pressure, gas composition above the pathological zone. Chemical reactions accompanied by reaction product luminescence are used as radiation source. Power supply source is optionally selected as autonomous one having external remote power supply owing to pulsating magnetic field operation. Additional optically transparent hub for localizing pathologic focus and radiation-scattering inserts for performing uniform irradiation of a biological object. EFFECT: enabled irradiation of large zones and areas of complex geometric shape; localized scattering zone. 39 cl, 13 dwg
