FIELD: metal cutting, boring of elongated cylindrical parts, for example tubes and tubular blanks. SUBSTANCE: boring head includes housing with axial cavity having nozzles and radial groove for placing double-side floating cutter. Head also includes threaded stem, sleeve coaxial relative to housing and having through grooves for placing guiding pins mounted on supporting surfaces of housing and members for fixing sleeve. In order to enhance accuracy and to improve quality of worked surface at boring inner diameter of tubular products due to accurate centering of head along the whole length of worked product and due to preventing vibration, sleeve with guiding pins may be moved relative to lengthwise axis of housing; supporting surfaces for guiding pins are inclined relative to axis of housing. Members for fixing sleeve prevent its rotation and limit its axial motion by value determined according to given expression. Apex of angle formed by generatrix of supporting surface of each guiding pin and axis of housing may be turned towards side of radial groove of housing or towards threaded stem. Supporting surfaces for guiding pins may be cone ones. Housing may have lengthwise grooves with flat supporting surfaces for pins. Guiding pins and grooves of sleeve may have rectilinear contours.
