FIELD: organic chemistry. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to novel chemical compounds, namely, to 2-furfurylidene-2-cyanoacetic acid esters of the general formula: where R means: CH2CF3 (Ia), CH(CF3)2 (Ib), CH2(CF2)2CF3 (Ic), CH2(CF2)4H (Id), CH2PhX (Ie), CH2C(CH3)(X)2 (If), CH2C(C2H5)(X)2 (Ig), CH2C(X)3 (Ih) and X means: . These compounds can be used as inhibitors of prevention of premature polymerization of unsaturated compounds, for example, methylmethacrylate, styrene, dimethylvinylethynylcarbinol, ethyl-2-cyanoacrylate and others in their synthesis, processing and storage. Indicated inhibitors are soluble in many monomers and do not require air blowing capacities with monomers for their prolonged storage.
