FIELD: locksmith's work. SUBSTANCE: the latch is additionally provided with a door locking mechanism, it has a body with a spring-loaded cross-bar, inner and outer handles connected to a button installed on the side of the inner handle through a square rod movable in the longitudinal direction. The rod has a round groove engageable with a square hole made in a strip connected to the door. The button resetting device has a pin installed on the square rod, engageable with the recesses with inclined walls made in a bracket holding the inner handle and positioned in the square groove of the latter. The inner handle is installed for a restricted turn relative to the neutral position of the square rod, and the outer handle has a central hole for a special key for opening the latch on the door outer side. The provision of the central hole in the outer handle and the special key makes it possible to additionally use the latch as a simple lock for closing an empty (with people) room.
